Fall Family Crafts

Fall is officially here and it’s time to get crafty! Thanks to Halloween and Thanksgiving, there are an almost endless supply of fall crafts that you can do to get your creative juices flowing. Not only that, but crafts are a great activity for your family members of all ages to enjoy!

Don’t know where to start? Luckily for you, we’ve come up with a few ideas for some fall family crafts – check them out below!

Girls creating Fall arts and crafts with construction paper

“Hello Fall” Sign

Start off your fall family craft time by creating a “Hello Fall” sign! Grab some plain or decorated construction paper that screams “fall” and find designs online on how you want the font of your text to be. From there, decide if you want to add any borders or images to your sign and voila, you’ve got a “Hello Fall” sign ready to be displayed in your home!

Mason Jars Lanterns

Grab some mason jars (any size that you like) and create a fall-themed mason jar lantern! This will become a lantern that’ll have a battery-operated or flameless candle set inside the mason jar, which can be placed in your driveway, sidewalk or inside your home. You can decorate your mason jar lanterns to have fall trees, leaves, turkeys and more! If you’re not set on a fall-themed lantern, then go for a Halloween-themed one and add mummies, scarecrows, witches and more.

Family making arts and crafts with pumpkins

Once the leaves have fallen, go leaf-picking outdoors for the best sets of leaves that you and your family can find. From there, you can use those fallen leaves and paint them with white paint to make some un-boo-lievably cute ghosts to display or add some sparkle and shine to your fall décor by creating a glittered leaves garland. You can also use those leaves to create a leaf lantern using an empty glass jar. There are just so many fall craft ideas that you can do with leaves!

Finally, you can’t forget about pumpkins. Whether you plan on going pumpkin picking at the patch or just going to buy some pumpkins at the grocery store, there are so many ways to get creative with pumpkins of all sizes! You can paint them any colour you want (we’re loving the pastel pumpkin trend), draw on them, cover them with washi-tape or get a hot glue gun and apply different colours of felt and buttons to create a face on your pumpkins – no carving necessary!

What are you waiting for? Get inspired and gather your arts and crafts supplies to create a variety of fun, fall family crafts. It’ll be a great bonding experience for you and your family! Happy crafting!
